The brothers Abdulrahman and Mohammed Al Abdulaziz Al Shalan lost their father at an early age and were soon fending for themselves, securing income for their family. By 1951, they had established a family company for importing foodstuff. Sheikh Abdulrahman Al Abdulaziz Al Shalan passed away (may Allah have mercy on his soul) in 1416 AH after a long and successful career. Thereafter, his brother and life-long companion, Sheikh Mohammed Al Abdulaziz Al Shalan carried on the responsibility of their success, both, as Chairman of the Board and Director General.

We are extremely proud to have become a major supplier of basmati rice, a food staple that has become a key feature of our society across generations, and synonymous with our social identity.
